New Blackberry

Dad:	I have ben given this thing that has a pretty screen and lots of buttons. Question is: How do I make a phone call and shut it off!?
This reminds me of a conversation I had at work with someone I sent a Blackberry to.
Woman:	"Hi, we just received the replacement phone, where do we put the card in?"
Me:	"There should be a little gold slot underneath the battery, slide it in there."
Woman:	"No, there's no place to put it in..."
Me:	"Yes, there is... Take out the battery and it's right there."
Woman:	"Now there's a white dot on the screen... I don't think it's working."
Me:	"Just give it a moment... it's turning on."
Woman:	"No, there's nothing on the screen. Just a little dot. It's broken."
Me:	"No... it always does this. Just wait."
Woman:	"Oh, it's on. Just let us make sure the SIM is working -dials number- it's not calling..."
Me:	"Press the call button?"
Woman:	"What?"
Me:	"The green button..."
Yes, and these people work in IT. Oh glorious day...
